Bigger isn’t always better: a 4096 px PNG is sharp but much heavier. Pick the smallest size that looks good where you’ll use it.
Transparent or white background?
- Transparent keeps everything outside your design see-through. Use it for logos over photos, Canva designs and stickers.
- White or a color is better when the app you’re uploading to doesn’t support transparency, or when you need a solid square image.
If your PNG looks different from the SVG
- Fonts: text uses the fonts installed on your device. Convert text to outlines (paths) in your design app for an exact match.
- Linked images: pictures linked from other websites inside the SVG can’t be included. Embed them in the file instead.
- Very complex effects from design apps may look slightly different in a browser.
