Instagram No-Crop Resizer (4:5)

Instagram crops photos that are too wide or too tall for its feed. This tool fits your whole photo into Instagram’s 4:5 portrait size (1080 × 1350) and fills the leftover space with a soft blurred background or a solid color — so nothing gets cut off. Works with one photo or a whole batch, right in your browser.

Not sure which size you need? This page makes classic 4:5 portrait posts (1080 × 1350). If you want your photos to fill the new, taller profile grid tiles exactly, use the Instagram 3:4 grid resizer.

How to post a full photo on Instagram without cropping

  1. Add your photos — landscape, panorama, or extra-tall phone screenshots all work.
  2. Choose how to fill the empty space: Fit + blurred edges (a blurred copy of your photo) or Fit + solid color (classic white or black borders, or any brand color).
  3. Click Prepare and download. Each file is exactly 1080 × 1350, ready to post.

Why Instagram crops your photos

Instagram feed posts must sit between a wide 1.91:1 and a tall 3:4 shape. Photos outside that range — like a wide panorama — get cropped when you post them, and even photos inside the range are trimmed in the profile grid. Fitting the photo into a 4:5 frame yourself gives you the largest possible post in the feed while keeping every part of the image.

Blurred edges or solid border?

  • Blurred edges look seamless and modern — great for travel, landscape and lifestyle shots.
  • White borders give a clean, gallery look and make a consistent grid if you use them on every post.
  • A brand color works well for creators and businesses who want posts to be instantly recognizable.

Frequently asked questions

Why 4:5 and not square?

A 4:5 post takes up more vertical space in the feed than a square, so people see a bigger version of your photo as they scroll. If you mainly care about the profile grid, use the Instagram 3:4 resizer instead.

Will my photo lose quality?

Your photo is resized to Instagram’s display width and saved as a high-quality JPEG, which is what Instagram would do anyway — but this way you control how it’s framed.

Is it really free and private?

Yes. There is no signup or watermark, and your photos are processed on your own device — they are never uploaded.
